The Friends of Ballard School (FOBS) team comprises of both parents and staff who work together to raise funds for the school through social events.
We meet every four to six weeks to plan and manage our events. We divide up responsibilities, big and small, to suit the members of the team.
From funds raised and saved from previous years, we helped pay for portable floodlights for the Astro, special safety gear for the Ballard Sailing Club, the F1 model car gear used at the ‘Birthday Bash’ and activity club, the curtains for the dance studio and the new canopy at the entrance to Pre-Prep. We have also set aside money towards the proposed Year 11 ‘log cabin’ and we aim to focus this term on raising funds for an additional set of portable Astro floodlights (which can also be used at FOBS evening events).
We would like to ask parents to step forward to help with FOBS events of which the next is:

The next FOBS meeting will be held on Friday 21 April at 8.45am in the PAC foyer. All parents are welcome.

There are two ways to be involved...
You can join the committee and help to create and manage our fundraising events. The committee meets every four to six weeks to review and plan FOBS events which are usually put together and co-ordinated by specific event teams eg: Summer Ball or Firework Night teams.
If you would like to be involved but on an ad-hoc basis why not put your name down on the FOBS helpers list. This list comprises of parents and staff who may be available to help out at the events and do anything from serving drinks to face-painting and lighting fireworks!
